I was pleased to see that the weather gods had been kind to the Llanelli – Food and Drink Festival, unlike the Vintage Festival a few weeks earlier, although I must say that I enjoyed photographing in the rain; the colours and reflections are diverse, the hues are subtle, and people behave differently, almost defensively, apart from the smiling children, who appeared to be enjoying it.
Fortunately, for this festival the weather was clement, no rain or wind, which was evident by the light jackets, fleeces, and even tee-shirts, so everyone’s mood was positive and uplifting, and eager to spend their brass with the hard-working traders who had no-doubt spent a lot of time and effort setting-up their stalls and offerings to encourage the shoppers to sample their food and beverages.
Cinderela and Buttons were making their presence known to all the kids, whatever their ages, and the stilt-walkers were high on the kid’s menu.
I do enjoy the Café Culture of outdoor coffee and food. And judging by the number of people enthusiastically tucking into their rolls and sarnies the food was no-doubt lush.
